Located eight miles from downtown Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, in the heart of the South Hills, St. Clair Country Club is searching for motivated, reliable and passionate Line Cook. Our Team is committed to providing the highest quality dining, social, entertainment and recreational experiences to its 870 members and their families and guests. The Club operation is open year round, offers four a la carte Restaurants ranging from casual to fine dining. During high season the club operates an active aquatic center with snack shop and bar. St. Clair Country Club offers multiple private dining and reception areas including the Ballroom that seats up to 240 people, the Crossroads Room which seats up to 100 people, the Alibi Room which seats up to 50 people and the Library that seats up to 30 people.

Job Overview:

The Dishwasher/Pot Washer is responsible for assisting the kitchen staff in maintaining a constant supply of clean dishes and cookware to ensure exceptional culinary offerings. The position will work in all areas of the kitchen but mostly the dish area or the pot area and must be flexible to work either area as assigned.

Job Description:

  • Maintain kitchen cleanliness
  • Wash all pots, plates, utensils and other kitchen equipment.
  • Obtains and follows work area assignment from shift supervisor
  • Follows and maintains the highest level of "standards of performance" including sanitation, and hygiene
  • Works in an efficient manner to ensure quick turnaround of supplies
  • Maintains an open line of communication with supervisors and opposite shift
  • Assists Sous Chef in preparing for banquet requirements by gather supplies and additional wares needed at the appropriate time
  • Assisting Chef's with, but not limited to, banquet plating, peeling vegetables, transportation of food, etc.
  • Maintains a clean and organized work area to ensure safety and decrease loss from breakage
  • Follows appropriate closing process including but not limited to: cleaning and scrubbing designated floor areas, removal and proper placement of trash and cleaning of trash cans, clean inside and outside of the dish machine, ensure all wares are returned in their proper place
