  • Hourly pay averages $20-$25/hour, (combination of hourly pay plus a guaranteed gratuity fee of 18%). There is also the opportunity for added gratuity in addition to the guaranteed gratuity fee.

Located eight miles from downtown Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, in the heart of the South Hills, St. Clair Country Club is searching for motivated, reliable and passionate Dining Room staff. Our Team is committed to providing the highest quality dining, social, entertainment and recreational experiences to its 870 members and their families and guests. The Club operation is open year round, offers four a la carte Restaurants ranging from casual to fine dining. During high season the club operates an active aquatic center with snack shop and bar. St. Clair Country Club offers multiple private dining and reception areas including the Ballroom that seats up to 240 people, the Crossroads Room which seats up to 100 people, the Alibi Room which seats up to 50 people and the Library that seats up to 30 people.

There are currently Part Time positions available.

Compensation:

Our a la carte servers are paid a rate of $8/hr plus a guaranteed gratuity fee of 18%. There is also the opportunity for added gratuity in addition to the guaranteed gratuity fee.

Hours of operations:

Lunch and dinner are available Tuesday through Sunday during season (April October) and Wednesday through Sunday during the off-season (October March).

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Provides outstanding service with a smile to our members and their guests in a professional and courteous manner.
  • Greets members and guests in all areas of the club and dining room with warm smile, eye contact, and use of member's last name.
  • Displays teamwork and doing "whatever it takes" to deliver optimum member/guest experience.
  • Knows all menus and bar items. Takes drink and food orders accurately by confirming preferences/modifiers. Enters the order into POS with use of correct table and seat numbers and member account.
  • Follows proper steps of service as designated for each individual outlet.
  • Prepares and delivers member's checks. Confirms member's name and signature with POS information.
  • Remains productive throughout shift with opening/closing/running side work. Follows opening/closing side work procedures.
  • Promotes Club activities to members.
  • Follows work schedule, calling out procedure, properly clocks in/out for breaks or leaving property.
  • Communicates to management any safety concerns or specific tools that are needed to enable them to do their job.

Other Functions

  • Performs clean up and closing duties assigned by manager.
  • Handles issues courteously and professionally.
  • Advises supervisor of any member/guest complaints so they can be immediately and professionally resolved.
  • Operates within all guidelines, policies, standards, and constraints as established by the company.
  • Assists in the implementation of Club mandatory standards of operations as they relate to the Food and Beverage operations.

Education and/or Experience

High school diploma or general education degree (GED); or one to three months related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
